Play’n Go’s follow-up to Reactoonz, their hugely successful 2017 game, Reactoonz 2 proves that sometimes the sequel does live up to the original. This slot comes with a space theme, cascading reels, exciting bonus features, and of course a cast of cute aliens to make the game even more entertaining.
How to play Reactoonz 2
Reactoonz 2 is played on a 7×7 grid and uses a cluster pays engine. To form a winning combination, you need to land at least 5 symbols in a cluster – the bigger the cluster the better, of course. Symbols include all the original alien characters from the first game, with the pink alien being the highest paying symbol. The Wild Gargantoon serves as the wild, replacing all symbols. There are two additional wilds: the Electric Wild and the Energoon Wild, which we’ll discuss further down in this review. Reactoonz 2 comes with a cascade feature, which means that following each win, the symbols in the winning cluster are removed from the grid and new ones fall into place, allowing you to potentially get more wins out of the same spin.
Extra features
Reactoonz 2 comes with a set of super fun bonus features. First up there is the Fluctometer, somewhat similar to the original game’s bonus feature. A fluctuating symbol is chosen randomly at each new round and displayed in the Fluctometer in the top right corner. If fluctuating symbols create a winning combination, one of the winning symbols will be replaced by a newly created Electric Wild, and all removed fluctuating symbols are added to the Fluctometer. You need 11 removed symbols to charge it and get 1 to 3 Electric Wilds. They sub for all other symbols and also zap that symbol elsewhere on the grid. If you get adjacent Electric Wilds, you’ll trigger the Wild Pair Explosion feature that will remove all symbols other than wilds. If the Electric Wilds are not next to each other, then the symbols between them and surrounding them will get zapped, except for other wilds. Uncharged Wilds are blue orbs that appear randomly and are charged when winning combinations land next to them or in case of a Wild Pair Explosion. When they’re charged, they become Electric Wilds.
Electric Wilds also do their part by charging the Quantumeter. There are 4 levels to the Quantumeter, depending on the number of charges. Levels 1 and 2 triggers Energoonz Wilds (1×1 and 2×2 in size), while Levels 3 and 4 will unleash the massive, 3×3 Gargantoon Wilds. These, especially combined with Electric Wilds, will have explosive results and could lead to multiplied payouts.
